What kind of training do I need?
If your dog jumps up at people, steals food, is destructive, a door charger, is an excessive barker, aggressive towards humans or dogs, etc... We will start off with in-home behavior modification training. One hour is usually sufficient to cure most problems (with some homework on your part).
How will this training benefit my dog?
Our training will create a calm and balanced animal. With this training your dog learns obedience/discipline and being stimulated, off-leash, and getting the exercise that is needed. It will not only benefit your dog, but it also benefits you.
What is an E-Collar and what does it do?
An E-Collar is a remote dog training system that usually consists of a wireless remote and a wireless receiver. E-Collars use a form of stimulus that targets the neck muscles of the dog-mimicking the mother's nip. The remote allows you to maintain full control of your dog for up to 880 yards. Modern electronic collars provide a very subtle stimulation that many people equate to “stim” pads that physical therapists use. The E- Collar tightens and releases the muscle as if you were pulling on the leash or another dog nipping.
Will the E-collar hurt my dog?
No, E-Collars are much the same as a tens unit that us humans use frequently for physical therapy. There is no harm done to your dog. When introducing the E-collar we will put the collar on your arm and you will feel how mild the stimulation component is.
How will my dog benefit from the E-Collar?
There are so many benefits of E-Collar training and so many dogs lives have been saved because of it. The E-Collar is a fantastic training tool especially for off leash training. E-Collar training is not a shortcut to good training. It’s a safety measure that protects dogs and gives a feeling of comfort to owners who have invested the time into training and want to trust their dogs off leash but also want to be able to get their dogs’ attention if necessary.
